It's easy to type "great shot", "excellent pic" or some other comment like this. I do it all the time. And I love receiving them! We all like a pat on the back, don't we? But lets face it, it doesn't improve our photography.

On some site's there seems to be some kind of competition; who can find something to improve on others photos... The clever guy is not the photographer, but the one who can come up with the "best" alternative crop, or find some picture noise up there in the left corner. Even better, the one who can suggest a "better" set up for the lights. I don't want that.

Photography is art. So, can it be "improved"? I don't know. Sometimes, I am happy with a pic as it is. Yes I could submit an alternative crop, and yes there is some pixel noise up there in the left corner that could be removed with "Noise Ninja", but I am happy with it. The pic "is me", so to say.

But most of the time I would appreciate constructive criticism. Help to improve. When I browse back "through time", down to the "beginning of my photography" (the first pics in my Elements Organizer), I see that I have improved. I am more happy with my later shots, and the percentage of good (ok, lets make that acceptable) shots is higher now. And my PS skills have improved. But I also realize there is "some" scope for further improvement. An improvement that would help me make more "it's me" shots. And for that, I would appreciate constructive feed-back.

Still love to see "great shot" though. Even though vanity is a mortal sin.
